Daniel Appelquist

Daniel Appelquist has been working on web and internet standards since the early days of the web. In the late 90s he worked with web publishers including the journal Nature and TheStreet.com. Whilst at Vodafone he led activities such as the W3C Mobile Web Initiative, co-chaired the Mobile Web Best Practices working group and was active in development of web device APIs. At Telefónica, he led product development for the BlueVia APIs platform. In 2013 he was appointed by Sir Tim Berners-Lee to co-chair the W3C’s Technical Architecture Group (TAG). He currently leads technical standards for UK Government Digital Service. He tweets at @Torgo.
