Other things GDS is writing this week (or so)

GDS is a busy place. We've got quite a few blogs running and many of us write elsewhere too. We're going to try occasional round-ups here to flag other things our team has written that may be of interest to those following the technology blog.

Ash Chohan wrote on the GDS Data blog about how we're using real time data to understand usage of GOV.UK.

A little further back, but here's a post David Illsley wrote about the work we're kicking off to work out how Identity Assurance should work for organisations.

GDS is working with colleagues across Cabinet Office to showcase a different way of delivering technology to the civil service, aiming is to deliver modern, flexible technology services that are at least as good as those people use at home. Stefan Czerniawski talks a little about some of the wider thinking behind what they're working on.

Our design colleagues have been doing a lot of work lately to look at design and interaction patterns across the projects we're working on and Joe wrote a great post about asking people for their date of birth.

Finally, Tekin wrote a great piece on the Inside GOV.UK blog about the work the Departments and Policies team are doing to pay down technical debt and what that means for our stakeholders and users. We're hoping to provide a deeper look into some of the details of that for this blog soon.

If working with us sounds good for you, take a look at Working for GDS - we're usually in search of talented people to come and join the team.
